These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Secure Video Player application for iPhone and iPad (the "App"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. What the App does

The App is a local, view-only video player. It plays video files from storage locations you explicitly grant it access to, such as an external USB-C drive. The App does not host, provide, transmit, or distribute any content of its own.

2. Your content and your responsibility

You are solely responsible for the content you view with the App, for having the legal right to possess and view it, and for complying with all laws that apply to you. The App gives you tools for private viewing; it does not grant you any rights to any content.

3. License

Subject to these Terms and to Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, you are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App on Apple devices that you own or control.

4. Security features are aids, not guarantees

The App includes privacy-protective features such as biometric locking, read-only file access, screen-recording detection, and the absence of sharing or export functions. These features meaningfully reduce risk but cannot guarantee absolute security. For example, iOS does not allow apps to prevent system screenshots. You remain responsible for the physical security of your devices and drives.

5. No warranty

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Your use of the App is at your own risk.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising from your use of the App, including loss of data or content. In no event shall total liability exceed the amount you paid for the App.

7. Changes

The App and these Terms may be updated from time to time. Material changes to these Terms will be posted at this address with a new "last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state of the developer's residence, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
